Hi, my name is Uri Yanover. I'm a bit less than 20 years old, and live in the Greater Tel-Aviv area. My nick on this site is Vergil; I sometimes go by the handle "uriyan", but it's an abbreviation and not a real nick (everyone can call me Uri).
I like doing stuff involving computers and mathematics. I've been around computers for many, many years now. I have programmed under many environments; From the programming point of view, I like particularly the Qt toolkit (yes, I'm a KDE man), Delphi and PHP. Generally, I'm language-agnostic, but I often prefer open-source software.
I like developing small projects: an XML-to-SWF translator, a syntaxic highlighter, a DICT protocol client and so on. I like doing network stuff too. I built and run a Linux-based network at my home.
Besides writing software, I have many cool hobbies. For more than a year, I was an editor at Wikipedia. I also like listening to music (all kinds of it with the exception of techno), and can even play a bit. I also like watching movies, old and new.
